My order was out of stock when will the money be back in my account?

When you place an order on Mallzee we use a system of Authorisation and Capture:

Authorisation is a verification performed on a cardholder’s card to check if they have enough funds in their account to cover their purchase. These funds are then reserved or held on the cardholder’s account and are made unavailable during the hold period.

Capture transfers the actual purchase amount from the customer's account to the merchant’s account and completes the charge. All Authorised charges must be captured within 168 hours (7 days). Otherwise, the charge will be automatically voided.

The Capture on our end will be processed once the order has been placed successfully with the retailer, if an item turns out to be out of stock, the money won't be claimed and will be released straight back in your account. You'll see the available balance increase again and we won't be able to access those funds again.

It normally takes 72 hours tops to see your available balance updated.
